The “Journeys” book series (grades 1 to 6) is built on a deep foundation of scientific research but treats students as young people who need to be encouraged. The series helps the student in the first six grades build reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills, and use language effectively in a variety of content areas. Students will learn to use cogent reasoning and evidence collection skills that are essential for success in life.

In grades 7 to 12, students move to the “Collection” book series. The series develops the student abilities to analyze complex texts, determine evidence, reason critically, and communicate thoughtfully. The stress on critical-thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills is required for success in college, career, and life. The series will help students understand and enjoy complex works of literature.
